Ideal Employer Branding and Corporate Personality

In today's competitive employment environment, companies are seeking recruiting solutions that will ensure they stay ahead of the competition.  In order to reach these goals, companies must manage the people, teams, and processes that drive their organization in the most efficient and effective manner.

Marketing is said to be the lifeblood of any company. This is the main reason why every company or organization would not hesitate to invest exorbitant amount of money to develop their unique branding and corporate personality. At the basis of a company’s Employer Branding lies the employment experience, or what it’s like to work there. It includes tangibles such as wage and benefits, as well as intangibles like management style, environment and company culture. A good match between employees’ needs and the employment experience can result in increased employee satisfaction, better retention and higher productivity.

Employer Branding defined an employer a company’s personality as seen through the eyes of its current employees. A strong Employer Brand encourages pride and job satisfaction with employees. It can also create a desire to learn more on the part of potential hires. If communicated effectively, it can transform a company into an Ideal Employer of Choice, an organization that attracts the Ideal Candidate to work.

Ideal Employer branding is not just about attracting new talent, it is also about engaging, motivating and retaining existing talent. Organisations need engaged employees more than ever to execute the tough directives that are now required to create stability for companies suffering demand declines and increased operating costs.

Creating a strong branding and corporate personality is one of the tried and tested ways to generate more awareness to consumers. It is not just solely the brand name, a powerful corporate identity can come from a number of forms. It is quite incredible how people in advertising never seems to run out of creative ideas just to sell a particular product or service.

Over the decades, companies have definitely placed more focus and importance on branding and corporate personality like never before. This is mainly because people actually associated the quality and reliability of the products based solely on their perception. Unknown to many, the development of employer branding and corporate personality is an extremely grueling task. Its not something that one can simply decide on like a spur of the moment idea. It would take a lot of deliberation and research just to some up with a powerful marketing strategy.

Aside from increasing recognition to consumers, employer branding and corporate identity are perfect ingredients for recruiting and an effective way to differentiate employment opportunity from the rest of the competitors.

Smart organizations don’t just recruit the best people, they attract them. A clearly defined corporate employer brand attracts the best people come to them.  The success of this method is based on two principles. The first is “Like attracts Like”. With a strong corporate employer branding strategy, a business is able to establish to the Ideal Candidate immediately the unique value of their employees. This is why creating a powerful corporate brand and protecting it is critical not only for large businesses but for any business serious about its goals.

The second principle is that the career minded in the work-force seek more than just a paycheck from their job, they seek fulfillment of their own personal career goals. On average, employees spend 70% of their waking hours Monday through Friday either at work, getting to work, or preparing for work. For the most part, their work is their life. The career minded individuals know and understand this. They want to make sure that while spending 70% of their life at work, they are in some way fulfilling their own career aspirations. They seek out companies where the organization’s culture and goals supports their own.
